Since buying a digital camera I've found myself taking a lot more photographs than I used to. Most are nothing special, but occasionally they are worth looking at and I've put some of the better ones on show here. There are two galleries; one is a collection of some of the more interesting parts of the British countryside that I have visited recently, while the other contains action from various orienteering events.
For the technically minded, the camera concerned is a fairly basic, largely automatic Sony DSC-P31. It has a two megapixel resolution, more than enough for online pictures, and a 5mm f2.8 lens. This is fairly wide angle, equivalent to a 33mm lens on a 35mm camera, which makes it more suited to landscape photography than action shots.
Around Britain
These landscapes aren't arranged either geographically or by supposed merit, but simply in the order that I visited them. Click on the thumbnail for a larger version.
